It’s almost here...
The Rainbow Jersey is once again up for grabs to the best riders in the world, who will battle it out on the roads of Yorkshire.
This covered jersey was first awarded in 1927 to recognise the best of the best, with the five coloured stripes representing the five continents of countries taking.
Great Britain last hosted the World Champs in 1983 and this is an amazing opportunity for us to once again showcase to the world just how amazing our beautiful county really is.
Without doubt Yorkshire is one of the UK's most stunning counties, picture-perfect villages and luscious farmlands, whilst the riders can experience our brutal hills, undulating roads and intense weather. It is where we created and tested our chamois cream to give them a true test of the elements. It really is a true battle ground for which these worries can take aim.
Featuring one of the longest ever editions on the most brutal roads and the first ever mix team time trial and para-cycling racing, this is set to be a truly astonishing event.
