Domestic racing was back with a bang on Wednesday 30th June with infamous Otley GP town centre races!
Otley has seen the Tour de Yorkshire and Tour de France travel through its market town roads in recent years, and in more normal times, has seen over 20,000 people attending to watch their famed Town Centre races.
With the likes of the Downing brothers, Mark Cavendish, Adam Blythe, Tom Pidcock and Alistair Brownlee having raced the event in the past, it's no wonder it's such a big draw for huge crowds and aspiring racers.
With crowds sadly minimised for obvious reasons in 2021, it was great to see racing back all the same with large fields for juniors, men's and women's races alike. The race was televised live as opposed to the usual highlights packages, thanks to some crowdfunding to keep it spectators to a minimum.
Veloskin is extremely proud to have had two supported teams in the elite men's races along with many supported individuals and loyal customers we know that use our products.
In the women's race, individually supported rider April Tacey (Drops LeCol) put in a terrific performance to claim 2nd spot in the elite women's race.
Congratulations to all riders that took part, and a speedy recovery to all those that took a tumble.
