Tour de Yorkshire 2020
Today the news broke of exactly where the 2020 edition of the Tour de Yorkshire will be heading. We learned some time ago that both Huddersfield and Halifax, would be Stage hosts, but we've only learned today whether they're a finish or a start!
Halifax is our where our office is based, so it's important for us in that respect as this is where stage 4 starts for the third year running, but not least because we all get to ride and train on these roads. Likewise, we touch roads regularly from each of stage 2, 3 and 4 on a fairly regular basis! We occasionally make it over to the coast where Stage 1 is heading too.
This is the 6th edition of TDY, which is becoming a bolt on to the Classics. Four days on tough, heavy and rolling roads, where the climbs are savage and the weather could be anything from tropical to winter-like, and it can do that all in the same day!
This edition is already being talked of as the hardest yet, taking in 612.5km of roads with just under half of that being on new roads, two National Parks and 160 towns and villages from all four corners of the county. There are 17 categorised climbs & 8 intermediate sprints, so it looks like it might be one for the punchy riders. #TDY
With our recent partnership with RibbleWeldtite, we're really excited to be involved with this race in more ways than, and we can't wait for it to begin!
Where will you be watching from?
