What does it take to beat a world record?
What does it take to beat a world record?? Well, that is a good question and Ian Walker took it upon himself to find out...
Ian previously reviewed our Chamois Cream on behalf of Road.cc and during a further conversation, he explained he wanted to beat the Guinness Book of World Records for crossing Europe top to bottom in under (6,350km) in under 21 days, 14 hours and 23 minutes. This was something we very much wanted to be involved in, as it would test our product to the extreme. Heat, Rain, Sweat, Distance, everything a Chamois Cream needs to protect against would be thrown at it, day after day, after day.
So, on the 21st June 2019, Ian set off to travel through Europe, passing 10 different Countries and completing 373 km per day to finish in a World Record time of 16 days, 20 hours, 59 minutes, which we consider to be both amazing and epic.
We are so pleased for Ian, as all his hard work training, building up to this event, has paid off #hardworkpays.
We will catch up with Ian in a few weeks, once he has recovered...
