Where, and how, to apply your chamois cream is a topic most cyclists don't discuss. For some reason it's a bit of a taboo - so let us help you out with some tips from the experts.

With our travel sachets, one sachet is usually enough for a full day riding. Squeeze the sachet a bit to loosen things up before you open it, tear open the packet (pretty easy really) and squeeze the contents onto your fingers. From here, it's up to you where you apply it. Some cyclists prefer it on their chamois pad in their shorts, whereas others apply it directly to their skin.

Top tip from us - go for both! That way you're less likely to miss anywhere and you're guranteed a comfortable ride.

When applying it to your shorts, start at the seams of your chamois pad as this is the area more likely to cause you irritation. From here, work your way in towards the centre of your chamois pad using a circular motion, as this way you're much more likely to work the cream into all the creases and nooks and crannies that are created when you've got the sorts on.

When applying it to your skin, pretty much the same applies. Focus on the 'nooks and crannies' and the areas where you're likely to get skin on skin contact, or skin on pad contact. We'll leave it at that for now :)
